Headnote

Mr Kevin Fitzgerald (IAF) and Mr Pranav Gupta (IRRO) met the Vice-Chancellor and spoke with students of the Joint Masters on authors’ rights.

0001The Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property and Competition (CIIPC), National Law University Delhi, facilitated a visit by Mr. Kevin Fitzgerald CMG, Secretary General of the International Authors Forum (IAF), and Mr. Pranav Gupta, Secretary General of the Indian Reprographic Rights Organisation (IRRO).

0002During the visit, they met with Prof. (Dr.) G. S. Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor of NLU Delhi, and Dr. Yogesh Pai, Associate Professor of Law and Programme Director of the WIPO-NLUD-IPO Joint Masters/LL.M. Programme. The visit also featured an interactive session with students of the Programme, focusing on copyright, authors’ rights, and the roles of IAF and IRRO in the global intellectual property landscape.

0003The session provided valuable insights into copyright protection and the importance of collaboration in safeguarding and advancing authors’ rights.
